As the owner of Emerson Publications, I am interested in helping you improve the quality of time you spend with your family now, as well as preparing for a time when you may not be available to help the ones you love.
We have something for everyone – whether you are looking for ways to be a better parent, or trying to find a way to provide your family with all the vital information they might need in your absence. This site is dedicated to helping you put your affairs in order by recording the information that will be helpful to your loved ones in your absence.
We also have a sister site, Prepared In Every Way, that covers more of the day-to-day issues that involve preparedness. When you think about it, everything turns out better when you’re prepared. Most people wouldn’t cook without a recipe, or at least a general idea of what they are preparing, and yet we go through life, often by the seat of our pants, without any preparation of all.
I encourage you to look around the site and see how you can improve the quality of your life, and the lives of your loved ones, by being prepared.
Enjoy the journey!

While you certainly don’t need an attorney to complete the information in your copy of “All They’ll Need to Know,” it might prompt you to take an additional step or two to get your life in order.
For instance:
Do you have a will that’s current? Written in the state in which you now reside?
Do you have a living will? That’s the one you want to make certain your family and doctors follow your end-of-life requests. Do you want to be kept alive by machines, or not? Had Terri Schaivo had this important document, her family wouldn’t have been in such turmoil for so many years.
If you don’t have an attorney, or don’t feel like you can afford an attorney, I’d like to recommend an option that has proved to be extremely helpful to our family.
